Limb lengthening

Limb lenghtening is a medical prodecure to increase the length of arms and legs. It is performed to solve disability and for cosmetic reasons. The procedure is based on distraction osteogenesis, a technique of inducing new bone formation by dividing a bone and applying tension through an external fixation device to lengthen the bone.[1]
